Dr. Simonson Michael R. Simonson, Ph.D.

Instructor of Technology and Distance Education

Michael Simonson is chair of the Instructional Design and Technology Department in the Fischler College of Education at Nova Southeastern University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in Instructional Systems. He was inducted to the United States Distance Learning Association Hall of Fame in 2016, was named into the Hall of Distinction for Fischler College Student Government, and was Professor of the Year for the Fischler College of Education in 13. Simonson has authored four major textbooks dealing with distance education, instructional technology, instructional computing, and instructional media. Mike has over 200 scholarly publications, and in excess of 250 professional presentations dealing with distance education and instructional technology, including the Encyclopaedia Britannica's definition of distance learning. He is editor of two academic journals, one yearly convention Proceedings, and also co-authors a book series. Mike teaches doctoral level courses, chairs dissertation committees, consults for various organizations, and has been an active grant writer. Simonson was honorably discharged as a Captain from the United States Marine Corps (R).

Deborah Seepersaud, Ed.D.
Executive Project Manager for TRE-Systems

Dr. Deborah Seepersaud is Executive Project Manager for TRE-Systems. She holds a Doctor of Education in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University and Master of Science in Educational Computing and Technology from Barry University. Dr. Seepersaud was manager of training services at Nova Southeastern University for over ten years, and teaches online courses in Curriculum, Instruction and Technology for the Department of Instructional Design and Technology. She serves as the primary contact between TRE-Systems and clients in business, government and Education. She has vast experience in use and management of course management systems and is an excellent media and technology production specialist. Training is her specialty and project management is her passion.

Gary Brown, Ed.D. is the distance education and instructional technology coordinator for the Broward County Florida schools, specializing in compressed video, networking, and systems design.

Margaret Crawford, M.S. is a school media specialist for the Mason City, Iowa public schools specializing in K-12 technology applications and teacher development activities.

Robert Trafford coordinates use of the WWW for dynamic project and program evaluations. He is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
