Campaign Oversight

The Kentucky Judicial Campaign Conduct Committee was formed in 2006, a year in which all trial court seats and all but two appellate court seats were on the ballot. The committee's objectives were to educate the public about the important differences between judicial campaigns and campaigns for partisan political office, to help candidates campaign in an ethichal and dignified manner, to monitor advertising to detect and deter improper campaigning, and to investigate complaints about unfair campaign tactics and issue public statements about such tactics.
